Using SNAP to buy CSA Shares and Marketshares: 2018

SNAP benefits are accepted at all of our summer markets.

Once again we can accept SNAP benefits to pay for 2018 CSA shares!  By partnering with Seacoast Eat Local, they actually match your SNAP dollars up to 300%.  The match is for MARCH ONLY!  If you are interested, please read about our CSA options including the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page so you fully understand how the different options work.  If you decide to purchase a share please use the contact form to let us know.  We will then work with Seacoast Eat Local to make it happen!

This also works for Marketshares but  when purchased through this program are limited to the sales of our VEGETABLES ONLY.

Please check out the video about the SNAP program at markets run by SEL:

Spring FEVER!: Actual 2017 CSA Veggie share pick ups.

With one of the coldest, wettest springs anyone can remember (even farmers that have been producing veggies for over 4 decades), last year the farming season had an extremely rough start to say the least.  Despite other local CSA’s skipping weeks because of no crops, Two Toad Farm still had veggies for Monday pickups.  CSA shares always start out a bit lighter with more cold hardy crops and greens.  Pickups slowly evolve throughout the growing season with more veggies being added as they mature.   With plantings pushed further and later into the season,  things finally evened out and then gave way to a long, warm fall that just barely allowed some, but not al of the winter squash to ripen and the potatoes to size up.  Compare past years’ distributions to get a sense of what can be included in a veggie share as well as the 2017 list.
